
Malvern Federal Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Malvern Bank, awarded the Foundation for Learning in Tredyffrin/Easttown, FLITE, a $10,000 grant to fund academic programs that help T/E students achieve in the classroom. The funds will be used to fund the Afterschool Homework Program that serves approximately 120 students each day spread across the five elementary and two middle schools in the district. Anthony Weagley, President and CEO of Malvern Bank, noted, “We applaud FLITE’s efforts to break down the barriers that keep disadvantaged children from experiencing the full benefit of the education provided by the T/E School District.”
Upon accepting the check, FLITE Chair Vijay Aggarwal stated “Malvern Bank has been a consistent and generous supporter of FLITE over the past eight years. They have become a valuable partner in ensuring that all students have access to the support they need to succeed in school.”
