FLITE, The Foundation for Learning in Tredyffrin/Easttown, is a non-profit educational foundation that serves preschool through high school students in Tredyffrin and Easttown townships. FLITE funds programs to help ensure that all students in T/E, especially those who face barriers to educational success, have the academic tools, opportunities, and support they need to succeed in school.
With the homework club [After School Homework Program] my son realized he wasn’t alone and a lot of kids shared the same struggles – that seemed to give him a lot of comfort.
I’m very grateful to the program [After School Homework Program]. My son used to come home looking like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders due to homework. With this program, he comes home practically skipping!
My student struggled with her spelling homework and rarely completed her 20 minutes of nightly reading. After joining the After School Homework Program, she became motivated to be more organized and gained confidence in her work.
The students in the After School Homework Club now have their homework completed. They know it is correct and they now have the confidence to raise their hands in class.
Many teachers have commented to me on the increased participation and motivation they were seeing in their FLITE students.
The After School Homework Program made me more confident, strong-minded, and better in class.
